Attention! All goat breeders with loved ones serving in the military, please let us know who they are. Regardless of how anyone feels about the wars, there are families and individuals making tremendous sacrifices in the name of this nation. We want to honor that with a "Thank You for Your Service" column. Please send the names and states, along with any service data you'd like to include. We may not get it all in the magazine, but we'll note here on the site.
This is a new start for us. Check back frequently and see how we grow!

Ruminations: The Nigerian Dwarf and Mini-Goat Magazine is dedicated to
the Nigerian Dwarf goats and other miniature dairy goat breeds, and to celebrating
small sustainable goat farming.

Ruminations covers health, production and management issues; shows and
showmanship; regional happenings; governmental issues affecting our farms.
On a lighter side, Ruminations will also include recipes; art and book reviews;
and short works of goat fiction and true life stories from the farm.

Come, join in the fun, and celebrate all of our wonderfully goats.
Ruminations is published quarterly. The next issue went out in May
focusing on the Business of Goats
Issue #66 is due out in September, focusing on Buck and Reproductive Concerns.

Ruminations is built on the contributions of our readers and breeders of
Nigerian dwarfs and mini dairy goats. Please, share your photographs,
experiences, recipes, and suggestions with us all.
